| CamStudio:Another free software download for screencasting; to record all screen and audio activity on your computer and create industry-standard AVI video files and using its built-in SWF Producer can turn those AVIs into lean, mean, bandwidth-friendly Streaming Flash videos (SWFs). You can publish your screencasts to the web just as you would a blog or podcast. Tech Smith is currently supporting a program called the Jing Project. Jing allows you to do both still and animated screen captures. Jing works on both Windows and Mac systems. Tech Smith also makes the programs Snag It and Camtasia, both of which are great programs, and are also available at an educational discount. Where to host your files. Many sites on the web offer free hosting up to 50megs, like: http://www.podstrike.com/ http://switchpod.com/ http://www.podomatic.com/ If you need more space you will need to sign up with a site with unlimited uploaded file storage, like: http://switchpod.com/ http://www.podshow.com/ Once you have uploaded your files to a hosting site you are ready to share your information with the world. If you would like to be able to see you information on iTunes, you will need to submit your XML files (these files are automatically created by your hosting site) on the Apple site. |
